WHAT IS KALSHI?
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
- Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
- Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.
ROLE ROADMAP
Local businesses are closely tied to the communities and economies around them. A restaurant may depend on visitors coming to town for a sporting event. A transport company may be sensitive to changes in fuel prices. Weather, policy decisions, and shifts in the economy can affect an owner’s revenue, costs, and ability to plan.
We’re looking for someone curious, analytical, and thoughtful about relationships to help businesses explore how Kalshi can help offset some of these risks. You’ll spend time with business owners, learn how their businesses work, and find creative opportunities to make hedging understandable and useful.
This role combines an interest in current events and local economies with a strong understanding of financial risk. It calls for someone who listens closely, earns trust over time, and follows through with practical help. You’ll help shape how Kalshi works with businesses, starting with what matters to the people running them.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build relationships with business owners and community organizations to understand local economies and the risks businesses face
- Find creative hedging opportunities by connecting current events, weather, policy, and economic changes to business needs
- Educate owners about using Kalshi to offset risk, with clear explanations of costs, benefits, and limitations
- Help businesses use relevant markets and work with the Markets team to develop new ones where needed
- Support onboarding, follow through with owners, and bring their feedback back to Kalshi
BACKGROUNDS WE VALUE
Founder experience and a background in finance or consulting are strongly preferred. Relevant experience could include:
- Founding or helping build a company, with firsthand experience of the decisions and uncertainties business owners face.
- Investment banking at a bulge-bracket or elite-boutique firm, or strategy consulting at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or a similarly rigorous firm.
- Trading, derivatives, commodities, treasury, corporate risk management, or client-facing financial work, particularly helping businesses understand and manage their exposures.
- Underwriting bespoke insurance, with experience assessing unusual or complex risks, pricing coverage, and structuring tailored policies around a client’s specific exposures.
- Building long-term business or community partnerships, developing practical financial education, or helping people use a new financial product.

Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets.
Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.
