Working with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams, you will support tool availability and compliance with site safety and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily tool crib operations, keeping tools, measuring instruments, equipment, and related supplies organized, labeled, safely stored, and accessible to authorized users.

• Maintain tool check-out and check-in records, including transfers, repairs, and disposals, with traceability to users, work orders, departments, or projects as required.

• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the designated inventory or tool tracking system.

• Monitor stock levels and reorder points, prepare purchase requisitions, and coordinate deliveries and replacements with Purchasing and approved suppliers.

• Coordinate upcoming tooling needs with Production and Maintenance, prioritize urgent requests, and escalate shortages that could affect production or product quality.

• Inspect returned tools for damage or wear, segregate unsafe items, and coordinate repairs, servicing, and replacement with qualified personnel or suppliers.

• Track calibration status and due dates with the responsible teams, control overdue or nonconforming instruments, and verify required approvals before return to service.

• Verify incoming tools against purchase orders and specifications, and follow up on supplier quality issues, delivery delays, and repair turnaround times.

• Maintain controls for high-value, critical, and serialized tools; follow up on overdue or missing items; and investigate recurring losses.

• Maintain a clean, safe tool crib, follow site safety and security requirements, and support audits, inventory reviews, and quality activities.

• Report inventory levels, usage, shortages, losses, and repair costs, and improve storage, tracking, and replenishment processes through 5S and continuous improvement.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and transaction records.

• Basic understanding of purchasing, stock control, inventory reconciliation, and material handling.

• Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and inventory systems.

• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to coordinate across production and support teams.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies, solve problems, and prioritize urgent requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of workplace safety, housekeeping, and 5S principles, with a commitment to accountability and protecting company assets.
