Our products help organizations operate confidently in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape.

About the Role:

Reporting to Executive leadership, the Sr. Manager of  IT & Operations owns Osano's internal technology environment day to day. This role runs IT operations, manages the corporate technology stack, and improves systems, security, and employee experience over time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, operationally excellent, and ready to take on more strategic ownership as the company grows.

Core Responsibilities

Operations and Systems Ownership:

• Own and continuously improve Osano's internal IT operations, including endpoint management, identity and access, SaaS administration, and corporate infrastructure.

• Keep systems reliable and employees productive.

IT Roadmap Execution:

• Maintain and deliver a near-term IT roadmap aligned with company growth. Identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and ship them consistently.

Budget and Vendor Management:

• Manage the IT and corporate technology budget.

• Own vendor relationships, renewals, and contract negotiations to control cost and remove redundant tools.

Security and Compliance:

• Serve as the internal technical lead for SOC 2 IT audit evidence and controls.

• Implement and maintain security policies, enforce compliance standards, and move the team from reactive evidence gathering to proactive risk reduction.

Stakeholder Support:

• Partner with department leads and the executive team to resolve operational bottlenecks and support the needs of a growing, distributed team.

Technical Scope

Identity and Access Management:

• Administer and secure Google Workspace and corporate identity infrastructure.

• Manage SSO, SAML configurations, conditional access policies, and endpoint security across Mac, Windows, and mobile devices, using EDR tooling including Microsoft Defender and Iru Avert.

Automation and Lifecycle Management:

• Build and maintain automation for onboarding, offboarding, and hardware provisioning using low-code tools, Google Apps Script, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Reduce manual work wherever possible.

AI Tool Governance:

• Establish and enforce policies for safe, compliant adoption of AI tools across the organization.

• Manage access, data privacy boundaries, and shadow AI risk in collaboration with engineering and legal.

Documentation and Training:

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation for Osano’s corporate technology stack, and deliver internal training on security best practices, security hygiene, and data privacy.

• AI in Your Work: At Osano, we expect everyone to use AI to work smarter and deliver better results. In this role, you’ll leverage AI to create and maintain documentation, resolve routine support requests more efficiently, build automations, and identify recurring ticket trends and opportunities for improvement.

About You

• Experience: 7+ years in IT, systems administration, or technical operations, with at least 1 to 2 years in a lead or managerial role in a SaaS or startup environment.

• Technical Competency: Hands-on experience with IAM, MDM, SAML/SSO, Google Workspace administration, and scripting. You are comfortable in the terminal and in the admin console.

• Operationally Driven: You close tickets, build systems that prevent the next ticket, and document what you build. You measure success by uptime, resolution time, and employee experience.

• Mission Alignment: You care about security and compliance without sacrificing usability. You understand that a privacy company should model the behavior it sells.

How we work:

• Fully remote, with at least four hours of overlap each day with your team's core hours.

• Collaborative and video-on for meetings, and async-first for everything else. Bring people in when they are needed and share what you’re working on with the team.

• Regular 1:1 checkins with your manager, with a focus on growth conversations.
