About the Role:

Crusoe’s Manufacturing business is ramping quickly, with a limited history of controllership and financial planning that is still largely top-down. The Lead Analyst, FP&A is the hands-on owner of the financial engine for the MFG business: the integrated model, the planning cycles, and the KPIs leadership uses to run the business. You will work with the MFG Finance managers covering the Data centre and Spark products, and with BI, Field Services and BizOps. You will move planning from top-down to bottoms-up, tied to real business inputs and execution.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with a lot of room to shape how Manufacturing Finance operates. You will be the hands-on builder and day-to-day owner of the MFG financial model, planning cycles, and reporting, which means you’ll do the work yourself rather than direct it. At the same time, you’ll set the standards for how the team plans, models, and reports, including model architecture, data definitions, templates, and review cadence. Because MFG Finance is early in its build-out, much of what you create will become the team’s default way of working.

You’ll be the central analytical hub of the team. The DC and Spark finance leads, the MFG BI team, Field Services, BizOps Data Analytics, and Accounting will all rely on your model and your numbers, so you’ll need to be as comfortable aligning stakeholders and defending assumptions as you are in a spreadsheet. You’ll have regular visibility with Finance leadership and business executives through the MBR and other forums, and your analysis will directly inform decisions on supplier and CM engagements, cost and margin targets, and cash planning.

What You'll Be Working On:

Financial model and planning

- Build and run the consolidated MFG business unit financial model covering close support, forecast, long-range plan (LRP), budget, and scenario analysis.

- Own variance analysis models and templates such as volume/rate/mix variances

- Drive bottoms-up planning by translating inputs from Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Field Services into financial outcomes.

- Build scenario and sensitivity models for volume, supplier pricing, schedule shifts, and cost and margin targets.

- Support cash flow planning and liquidity analysis for the MFG business.

Reporting and KPIs

- Own the financial content of the Monthly Business Review (MBR), including variance analysis, commentary, and executive-ready materials.

- Define, track, and report key business and finance KPIs (such as cost, margin, headcount, Opex, and utilization), and drive accountability for them with business & finance owners.

- Automate reporting and keep data definitions and sources consistent.

Business & Finance partnership

- Partner with broader FP&A team to drive end to end planning, timelines & R&Rs for Rhythm of Business (Close, Forecast, Budget and LRP)

- Partner with the DC and Spark finance leads to give them a consistent planning and reporting foundation.

- Build the business-case evaluation template for supplier and contract manufacturer (CM) engagements, and support analysis of sourcing and CM decisions.

- Provide finance support to Field Services and New Product Introduction (NPI), including cost tracking and program-level analysis.

- Work with Accounting on close, accruals, inventory and cost accounting questions, and help strengthen controllership as the business scales.

Tools and process

- Own the finance tools roadmap for MFG, including model architecture, data pipelines, and dashboards.

- Document processes and train partners on tools and planning calendars.

- Help set up the planning infrastructure for Phase 2 (integrated supply planning and S&OP) as the team grows.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.

- 7+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, business finance, or consulting, with a track record of owning planning cycles (budget, forecast, LRP) end to end.

- Advanced financial modeling skills, including building large, multi-driver models from scratch.

- Experience supporting hardware, manufacturing, supply chain or tech businesses, with working knowledge of COGS, BOM cost, inventory, and CM or supplier economics.

- Strong data skills: advanced Excel or Google Sheets and SQL, plus experience with BI and visualization tools (such as Looker or Tableau).

- Ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior, non-finance leaders.

- Comfort working in ambiguity in a fast-growth environment, with a bias to build and iterate.

Preferred

- Experience in data center, AI infrastructure, semiconductor, or other capital-intensive technology companies.

- Experience with planning systems (such as Adaptive, Anaplan, or Hyperion) and ERP data (such as NetSuite or SAP).

- Exposure to cash flow forecasting, capital planning, or S&OP processes.

- Working knowledge of NPI and field or service operations economics.

- MBA, CPA, or CFA.

Benefits:

- Competitive compensation and equity packages

- Restricted Stock Units

- Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

- Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

- Employer contributions to HSA account

- Paid parental leave

- Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
